Day 1: Fundamentals and Theory

Types of Permanent Eyebrow Techniques: Microblading, ombre shading, powder brows, and combination brows.

2. Skin Anatomy and Types

Anatomy of the Skin:

Focus on skin layers and how pigment interacts with each layer.

Skin Types:

Identifying oily, dry, and combination skin, and understanding how each affects pigment retention and technique selection.

Healing Process and Skin Response:

What students need to know about the healing stages, skin reactions, and factors that impact pigment retention.

3. Color Theory and Pigment Selection

Understanding Undertones:

Identifying cool, warm, and neutral undertones for optimal pigment selection.

Color Matching:

Choosing pigments based on natural hair and skin color to achieve the best results for each client.

Pigment Brands and Safety:

Overview of recommended pigment brands, safety standards, and quality control.

4. Tools and Equipment

Our 6-month PMU Apprenticeship and Mentorship Program is designed for aspiring artists ready to master the art of permanent makeup in a warm, supportive, and hands-on environment. With dedicated, one-on-one mentorship, you’ll be guided through each step, learning techniques, building confidence, and developing your own style along the way. This is more than training – it’s your personal journey to becoming a skilled, client-centered PMU artist!

Program Breakdown: Month by Month

Months 1 & 2: Foundations and Hands-On Practice

We start with the essentials, making sure you feel confident in the basics.

Mastering the Foundations:

Learn about skin anatomy, color theory, and the different types of PMU, focusing on both the art and science behind each technique.

Safe Practices & Hygiene:

Get hands-on training in proper sanitation, client safety, and creating a welcoming environment.

Brow Mapping & Shaping:

We’ll dive into brow mapping techniques and start practicing on synthetic skin and mannequins before working with models.

Personal Mentorship:

You’ll have dedicated time with your mentor to discuss techniques, ask questions, and get comfortable with the tools and processes.

Months 3 & 4: Brow Techniques

We dive into specific areas and continuing your skills through hands-on practice.

Brows:

Master the art of microshading, powder brows, and ombre techniques. You’ll work with clients under the guidance of your mentor to gain real-world experience..

Guided Practice on Models:

With mentor support, you’ll work with live models for each technique, ensuring you’re gaining experience and confidence.

Months 5 & 6: Advanced Techniques and Professional Development

Here, we’ll take your skills to the next level and prepare you for life as a professional PMU artist.

Advanced Techniques: Learn color correction, scar camouflage, and removal basics for any special client needs.

Independent Practice: Gain experience by performing services independently while still having access to your mentor for feedback.

Client Skills & Portfolio Building: Develop client communication skills, learn how to capture great before-and-after shots, and start building a portfolio that highlights your best work.

Business & Marketing Essentials: Get guidance on building a PMU business, from pricing and licensing to social media and client retention strategies.

    6 month apprenticeship is $3000

  • We offer Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay and Vagaropay as payment options.

    Inhouse payment options also available for the apprenticeship program.

  • Students are welcome any day as long as the trainer/ mentor is at the studio. There is no set amount or limit.
